BLT otherwise known as Bistro Laurent Tourondel, is an inviting, warm restaurant that blends comfort with good old fashioned American cuisine. Out of all the dishes offered there, the braised short rib stands out. When you first enter, it's loud and my initial thoughts were I'm not going to be able to hear anyone speak at my table. But to my surprise, the acoustics are well designed and enjoying a meal with friends turned out to be no problem. What's even better, is for groups larger than 12, they have a private dining room big enough for a feast. Portions are pretty big and they even make a tasty side dish most hated growing up...brussel sprouts. Dare I say, it was fabulous. Not at all gawdy, BLT has great service and great food with a touch of Hollywood that puts it up there with all of the splashy Sunset spots.
